Dear friends,
We believe that it is the Lord’s plan for a double portion mantle and anointing to be passed along to the next generation in this hour. In many ways, we are seeing the passing of the torch from the generals of the faith to the next generation.
There is a young generation that is eager to walk in power and to give their lives for the kingdom. In fact, the Lord brings these young people to us constantly at The Altar.
This is why we started The Underground, our discipleship program that includes 12 people at a time in our living room over a 38 week period. The Underground focuses on the root systems of young leaders (like the hidden root system of a tree) in these three areas:
- Inner Healing and Deliverance
- Apostolic Teaching (foundations)
- Worship/Intercession school (School of the Prophets)
In 2025, we will launch our next class with 12 new students. Many of these students travel 2-4 hours multiple times per month to give themselves to this program, many of them take off work and change their schedules in order to be able to participate. The costs can add up fast: for example, a round trip between NYC and NJ including gas, tools and/or trains/busses can exceed $85 (over $3000 over the program length).
We know that many of you have wanted to tangibly sow into the next generation of leaders and this is why we have set up The Underground Scholarship Fund. All funds that come in to The Altar with this designation will go to help offset the costs incurred by the students that have the greatest need.
We are looking for a small group spiritual fathers and mothers to give $85/month to The Underground Scholarship Fund to help build the root system of the next generation. If this is you, please click here to give.
